Ode to the Unfeeling

Contributed by ButchCorpuz on Thursday, 25th May 2006 @ 02:43:48 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I remember
The warmth of sunshine on a rainy day
The bliss that I felt when you came my way
The sheltered feeling that youre here to stay

Because now
My sun would not even shine anymore
Im missing the bliss that Ive longed for
Wanting to go to how things were before

If only
I could change the weaving of destiny
Or stop the winds of change from flowing free
Then Id be holding you right here with me

But then
Dreams dont really come true for everyone
Some have happy endings, while some have none
And I wake up to find my dream long gone

So now
Only the pieces of my heart remain
Drenched in sorrow, soaked in tears, drowned in pain
Because I have loved and lost all in vain

Nevertheless
Youre the only love I knew from the start
That even though fate tore our hearts apart
Id still love you with whats left of my heart

Until then
Id live to see each day without sunshine
And wither going against fates design
Loving you with this broken heart of mine

Oh Butch, this is very painful to read, I can only imagine how painful it was to write. I'm sorry things didn't work out but you know what??... You'll always have those wonderful memories to which you can hold on.
Lovely write....as always..
Hugs
Jenni
