It's kind of ironic how it is for me now
I used to get angry because of you
Now I can't think of anything but you
You're under my skin
And I don't know what to do about it
It's kind of ironic that now I rush home at night
Just for the thought I may dream about you tonight
Because in a way it may be better than reality
But I never want to think that way
It's the hope that keeps me alive
You're the reason I wake up at night
It's kind of ironic that no matter how hard you try
I still can fall for you
You try hard not to love
You ran out of love to give
Because someone ruined it for you
I just hope you haven't given up
There's so much good in store for you
It's kind of ironic
But I want to believe that deep inside you want this too
It's never crossed your mind that it's not always about you
You shine brighter than you know
I just wish I could stay in that glow
It's kind of ironic
But I think you can see right through me
You knew you had this coming from me
But what are you going to do about it?
