the loneliness it hurts
when i can't hold you near
the nights are longer
and i am full of fear
where are you
when i need you most
even in my dreams
you are just a ghost
just an image
is all that you left me
not even a tiny note
explaining what i did to make you leave
so i sit here
waiting for your return
but this heart in my chest
this loneliness it burns
too stubburn to let go
of this love i never felt
you left for some reason
by your bed i knelt
i pray for god
to bring you back home
3 weeks gone by
and i'm still alone
in this life
i'm constantly depressed
continually tortured
by the loneliness
