The Feisty Wench

Contributed by jerseysue on Wednesday, 31st May 2006 @ 06:11:10 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

He was dashing, She was daring,
If he looked at another, she was glaring,
He was faithful, She was cruel,
He never complained, she called him a fool,

He was kind, She was ungrateful,
He gave compliments, She was hateful,
He gave love, She threw it back,
He said white, She said black,

He said marry me , She said no,
He said why?, She said you know,
He got upset, She laughed in his face,
He said I love you,She said get off my case,

He said let us part, She said ok,
He was heartbroken,She left the next day,
He still wants her, She doesn't care,
He called her up, She wasn't there,

He found another love, She was irate,
He loved his new love, She knew it was too late,
He got married, She was left by herself,
He was happy at last,She was left on the shelf.

Good story and poem, Sue. I guess it's human nature to want something only after it's gone.
