In The Loving Memory

Contributed by Opium on Friday, 7th February 2003 @ 12:30:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Dear Mom and Dad,
I just feel so sad
All those years we lived, I have been so bad
When my problems wear me, only you I had

Is it too late now? can't I just say sorry?
And in your dearest arms lay down my worries
My life under your sentry was one happy story
And now I bear in my mind those sweet memories

I never got to pay you back all your affection
All I ever got were the worst decisions
On my knees I lay fighting this apprehension
Trying to find the right words to ease the tension

In your loving memory, I came to put across
My deepest regrets of your tragic loss
In your loving memory, I still feel ashamed
That when I saw my failure, it is you I blamed

Wow this one I liked a bunch. It is true how sometimes we don't appreciate some people until its to late and then when they are here all we see is how they failed us. I like it.
Always
Amy

As a parent of grown children....I can tell you that parents realize how hard it is to grow up, and they know that each person has to find his or her own way in life. In my heart..I know your parents knew you loved them and they are proud of what you have become. . great write as always my friend. Larry
