Far away from the human race,
A little haven just for me,
To contemplate my thoughts you see,

I am happy here, for it is tranquil,
And for that I must be thankful,
For when I am here no one can see,
The problems that are bothering me,

Life outside these walls I find,
Are full of things so unkind,
You could only understand,
If inside my mind you stand,

In silent times when I am low,
And tears fall like a rivers flow,
No one is there to hold my hand,
Lost and alone in a barren land,

If I am honest , I want to break free,
And be the person I want to be,
So I will weather the storm you see,
And once again I will be me,

Free in spirit, free in mind,
Happy to seek and to find,
Not hiding , but showing my face,
Back home again in the human race,

My little hidey-hole is my imagination, when the world gets too much to bear, I just let my mind wonder and just phase out. Nice write, keep it up.

A tidy and honest poem about our special place- which can be as much a state of mind as an actual place. Thanks for posting.
