So lost and so alone
I linger on through life
Drowning in an ocean
Swimming in my strife
Not knowing where to turn
Confused on where to go
I try so hard everyday
To just not let it show
Yet Im dying on the inside
I can barely stop the tears
I know I cant control the pain
If I cant fend off these fears
They overwhelm and conquer
They break me and destroy
I try to fool those around
My happiness in just a ploy
But I know it all shows through
I dont even smile anymore
Everything has lost its luster
Lifes not like it was before
I never thought wed be apart
Or that youd leave me behind
I thought if you werent happy
You wouldve given me a sign
I figured that what we had
Would make it through whatever
I guess I believed too much
I thought forever meant forever
I still cry for you at night
I still reach out for your skin
Yet I grasp only emptiness
Resting where you once had been
I miss the days of smiles
We used to laugh and dream
Now I struggle in a world
Where nothings as it seems
The day fades into night
In such a simple way
I lie awake and think of you
Til night fades back day
Time keeps on dragging me
Through these fields of sorrow
Making me lie in fear
Dreading what comes tomorrow
I need to know your love again
I need you to save my soul
Im here alone without you
Im slowly losing control
I cant take another day
Living in this pain
You help me make sense of things
You help to keep me sane
The past we shared so long ago
To me still means so much
I remember the love we had
I still tingle from your touch
Find it in deep inside of you...
You know what your heart desires
Remember the love we once shared
How it once set our souls on fire
