He may have taken away your hopes,
And stolen away your dreams,
Took away your friends,
And also your self esteem,
But he never could take away,
The great power of your mind,
For you have got the strength,
You sought and you did find,
You thought he had achieved his goal,
But you also proved him wrong,
And your courage it overcame this,
You came back to where you belong
Your inspiration he could never steal,
For its locked inside your heart,
And no matter what he said or did,
It gave you the strength to restart,
You tore the barriers he had made,
And the chains that held you down,
Head held high and with a smile,
You left this man behind,
So you will never look back again,
Always forward you will pace,
In a warm and happy atmosphere,
In a happy and wondrous place
