Although You're There

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 5th June 2006 @ 08:21:21 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Darling although you are there,
I cant help it, into oblivion I stare,
As you lay holding me tight,
I gaze at the moon so big and bright.

Wishing upon the glistening stars,
To take me away from here so far,
Away from the hurt and pain I feel,
If only for a peaceful moment I can steal.

A moment of peace is such paradise,
A moment I can rest in and feel nice,
I feel alone even though youre near,
I still feel dead after you have dried my tear.

I am haunted by things I can not say,
Why my darling cant you make then go away?
You swore to protect and to love,
I fear my hand is slipping from your glove.

You promise my heart you would never leave,
That youll never hurt nor deceive,
But theres doubt in the back of my mind,
That one day youll be cruel and unkind.

That youll leave me beaten on the floor,
That youll close the last open door,
That youll say goodbye and leave me dying,
That youll never look back on the soul you left crying.

this line: I fear my hand is slipping from your glove. It's really visual and I see a hand coming out of a glove..hauntingly sad pixilator..good work here.

your poetry is inocence and beauty in a realm that could only be describe as another
place and time. such hurt mixed with longing and loving and wisdom. i think i'll have seconds, every thing u write covers every that love is and even sometimes, isn't . **********

Pixie ... you have an uncany way of expressing yourself in a relateable way to nearly every one who reads you. What you feel ... you allow them to feel and relate to, always, regardless of the emotion at the moment. No exception here.
