Old Man That solemn, joyful face Lips in unknown position Penetrating, peering eyes Thin, unattended beard Is that a laugh, joyful and free? Or is it sarcastic and cynical? Is he sorrowed by the condition of humanity? Or does he rejoice in its wonder? Are his eyes merely seeing? Or are they looking into my soul? He is leaving Perhaps to a party Perhaps to save the world

i like your description here of an old man and the questions you have asked as well... its a short poem but it shows promise of an up and coming poet... great write |
