You were happy once with me
now I can't even make you smile
I wish I could take it all back
if only for just a while.
To see that smile of yours just once more
to see the sparkle in your blue eyes
I'm so sorry I made you cry
and I made it worse once more.
He understands you more than me
and that makes me cry
cause once I was the one
that stood by your side.
I've been so confused on who I am
and I began to fall
I brought you down with me
or now I'm just like them all.
I've broken the heart of my one true love
and I've caused so much pain
I hate to think of all that I've done
but it crosses my mind anyway.
I was worried and I had fear
but I never should have
I just wanted you to be near
to help show me the truth.
I know you still love me
even tho I don't know why
And I'm sorry for all the pain
and the tears you've cried.
I need you, dear Angel, I need you
I'm so sorry of what I have done
but I make one last promise to you
that whatever it takes, whatever I have to do
I will do for me as well as you.
