I don't want to be in a relationship when you tell me Whats Up
I'd rather be friends and keep in touch
I've seen too many couples mess up
He cheats, then you cheat
He lies and stays out all night on the streets
If I am with somebody I know he'll treat me right
I will not just fall for any man so I'm not giving up the fight
Time will tell
You will tell when you are ready to settle down
Just to let you know because I'm not something just you found
The mistake many make is moving to fast
Not taking the time to get to know the other can make a realationship crash
Me!!!! you know me....I like to take things slow
I got all my life to meet people and plenty of time to get ready for show
So next time you decide to chill with me
Try to get to know me first
Looks aren't everything
All I'm saying is can we be friends, maybe we can make things work
I'm not a Holla BaCk girl
You been trying to get with me
Somtimes I play games, what can I say I like to tease
If you chase me I won't chase you back
If you catch me I may cut you some slack

Shyne, I love it -intelligent, tough, but sensitive and heartfelt. A declaration of the self through an expectation of respect. You treat me right, and maybe you'll be surprised. Maybe.
Great flow, excellent rhyme, obviously a piece to be spoken, but reads so well too.
