Forgiveness is a simple word
but it can be so hard to do
I've never asked for anything
But I'm asking this of you.
We both know what I've done
Things will never be the same
I've ruined things between us
And now I take the blame.
I don't expect you to understand
What I was going through
I hoped that you would have been a friend
In the time when I needed you.
I expected more from you
Then you were prepared to give
I'm sorry for being so demanding
I hope now that you can forgive
I've said some things that I don't mean
I was hurting and driven to madness
I know I've lost you from my life
And that fills me with sorrow and sadness.
I know that you don't feel the same
You feel better off with out me
But I hope you know I have been your friend
And have given you no reason to doubt me.
In years to come when you think of me
Please remember me as a friend
Because that's what I was and that's what I am
And will remain so until the end.

mmm, tricky situation....but if you take things slowly and show this person you are truly sorry, maybe things can change. Show them this poem, perhaps it will help.
