My day for Play

Contributed by BRONZEN on Sunday, 11th June 2006 @ 04:15:26 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

I sit and stare out of my windows
the full bloom of the day is appearing

The leaves on the trees are swaying
wet from the morning dew

People are hustling and bustling on their
daily route

The coffee is freshly brewing its the means
to my start

The shower is running warmly ready to ease
all my tensions

Im taking a few minutes to meditate and talk
to God for a minute

There has to be more to life tiring of this daily
staple

Adventuring my days for once so Ill have some-
thing to bring to the table

Im grateful to god for the life he breathes into me
everyday

But there has to be something more than work
and home

Maybe Ill just go out on a whim and be spontaneous
and find my play

Work is certainly essential, but so is play, as you have reminded us with this poem. It makes me want to leave the office and take the rest of the day off....Nice write.
