Public Commute

Contributed by Man_On_High on Monday, 12th June 2006 @ 12:41:33 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

..trapped and beleaguered in a web of constants
garrolous and unto the point of endurance..

commuters on the T..

set upon ushering in the new day
with an unsure wheezing of do-good intentions:
often looking at each other across the littered chasm
of crumpled morning news, empty coffee cups and the like;
awaiting the inevitable sign of departure.

Dissolute and mindless, would otherwise find me
crawling into the backseat of a cab.. the driver:
someone who knew better 'way back when' but never escaped..
bruising the reeking walls with ballads of yesteryear,
roaring the conquests of nubile native daughters who,
no-doubt, were long removed by his lascivious gaze and tooth alone-

..not knowing my intolerance
for dimwit..
all the while, a happy man.

B.

Billy~
A most descriptive write of those transport riding days. When one reads ur remarkable work it's as if they are their experiencing the whole thing. You are really good at placing ur reader exactly where you want them to be.
You never cease to amaze me Billy~ well worth the read as always. Keep it up sweet guy.
love from ur fan/friend,

ACK! You fogot to mention the humid, greasy stench
hanging in the air like a thick fog. . . .

oh wait- that's MY van!!!! LOL sorry . . . okay

*puts on serious face*

A vivid and descriptive take on commuting, dear Billy. I must say,
you have an incredible gift for making even the most mundane of
activities that much more intriguing. Dare I say, even profound!!

Splendid write hun-
