[bodytext] => I pity her, Her so desperate to reclaim, And hold dear any scrap, Of emotion left to name, Withered, with husband, Drained, A sunset unseen for the hill, Self subjected loneliness, She has seen it, And knows her end. With that blinker, She is blind to the, Fields, rivers, trees and flowers, All around, Crisp, fresh summer life, Radiant colours: Grey to her, fading slowly To black The sky not blue, vibrant wonder, But dark, dire, torn asunder I pity her, Her living for the Inevitable tomorrow, And forgetting The unpredictability of today, Under darkened sky with No prospect, no hope, Only hate to see her through, The last granules of life, Being stirred into her tea.
