You said every things going to be ok
Then you took me by my hand and led my way
I didn't think you would put me down this path today
All I see is pain in my way these days
All I wanted was you to lay me down to sleep
Maybe say a story or just tuck me in the sheets
but all I got was a beating
You said every things going to be ok
Now I'm stuck in this place
Not knowing were to turn
I fell you fading away
Too blind to understand why the lord would take you away
But the drugs are taking over your brain
I know your going through pain
But you got to fight it
Gotta get through the day
Yes I pray that your going to be ok
And some times I wish you wouldn't have to fight for every day
You said every things going to be ok
Now I got crazy thoughs of me dieing just like you said
But I wont shed no tears
I'm ganna stay strong for days to come
All those poeple who look down on us screw them there just dumb
Those are the poeple who always get there way
And were the poeple who have to fight our way
Thats why were so much better then them
Mamma just hold brighter days will come
Till then I'm ganna hold my head up high and that anit no lie
