The Death of Love

Contributed by Alison on Thursday, 15th June 2006 @ 11:04:22 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

This is the death of love,
Some might say that love never dies,
Sadly to say that is not true,
Everything dies,

When Love was born,
So innocent and true,
Loyal and self- sacrificing,
Forgiving, all it was,

Love would do anything,
Just to please the one,
Love would give anything
Just to make the one happy,

Love was happy and full of joy,
Hope, peace and longing,
Just for the one,
Love wanted the one Always,

And the one knew,
Knew that sweet Love could be his,
Knew that Loves mercy could heal,
Wanted Love all for himself,

So he lied and pushed,
Took Love for a ride,
And only thought of his desires,
Taking what he wanted by anyway he could,

Never even thought,
That Love would give all,
Without being pushed,
And without being used,

But no, he used,
Took, and deceived,
And pretended not to ever hear,
Love weeping every night,

Because Love realized to late,
What he really was all about,
And what he did just for himself,
He said so much and wore a mask well,

Love forgave and forgave,
But knew in the end,
Love would brake,
Shatter in a million pieces,

If only Love had not given him a chance,
If only Love could keep pretending,
But its too late,
Love must die,

This Love,
Could not live,
Not after whats been,
Not in whats to come,

Love dies,
Because of his lies,
Hatred, fear,
And most of all selfishness,

Love is dead,
I killed Love,
Because he broke it,
So may I burn in Hell,

If thats to be my fate,
But Love had to go,
It was too broken,
And it was too late.

Wow felt the power of that kill. Love dies everyday only to be arisen another day. Take care.

Amazing poem!
you did a great job in showing all the emotions behind it all.
I especially liked the first stanza because it speaks the truth
Looking forward in reading more of your work.
Best wishes,
~*Eve*~

Very Good, I sure know about this, I've been there myself. I wish for thee love.
