Years of hard work
are finally paying off.
I can almost feel
success in my grasp.
Toils and torture.
Stress and anxiety.
Exhaustion and injury.
All coming to a close.
But the thought still enters:
What if I mess it up?
I'm reaching and striving,
but always to no avail.
I won't think about that.
(but I still do.)
I'm hoping for the best.
This labor should not be in vain.
Hand outstretched,
fingers sprawled,
reaching for the sky,
screaming for closure.
Only time will tell.

Wow what power this portrays, the sacrifices that must have been made. Do not give up on your dreams because it is true. Only time will tell. Take care.
