Never let me see another lonely day

Contributed by Damien on Saturday, 8th February 2003 @ 02:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

All this fun I'm having , is it a hallucination?
all of a sudden I'm having this rush of emotion.
Life's never been so full of fun and laughter,
never has it run this smooth like a well oiled motor
I'd been hitch-hiking along life's lonely highway,
then along you come and say "be my friend for life with pay"
Now, this is an offer I would'nt dare refuse,
and now your friendship is something I could'nt loose.
It's nice to have someone around whose always jovial,
cause otherwise living life becomes a mere ritual.
I'd love to take on a million of your pranks and then some more
rather than live my life feeling lonely to the core.
I dread to see the light of the day,
when our friendship would start to stray,
So assure me that come what may
you'll never let me see another lonely day.
