Empty promises,faulse hope
They keep pushing
Expecting us to cope
Twenty million spent here
Twenty million spent there
While people go hungry
How can they be so unfair
People die in the streets
No place to call home
While species are vanishing
No place left to roam
Countries wage war
Destroy and kill
Is there a reason
Or just a big thrill
How long will it take
How many hearts must break
Before we realize what's been done
The blame has been taken off us
And placed on what
An inanimate object
A gun
