Autumn Wolves
It was a full moon that night
Unholy nights like these
They stalk through the flowing leaves
Benieth the howling breeze
They lust for holy hearts
Onward to death they march
A starving god upon the wolves
Autumn has never seemed so sad
In this perfect world
You'll feel your heart seize...
You'll feel your blood freeze...
Autumn has never seemed so right
Amoung the werewolf's bite
A normal being
Transformed by the bite
Only changing on a fullmoon night
There's no breaking this oath
But only breaking his heart..
With a kiss of a silver bullet
I surrender
For the bullet seals my fate
Autumn renders
With a sliver plated stake
That laid me to sleep, eternally
It's something I can't take anymore
Give the bullet a head start
Engrave your name in the silver
So you can run through my heart
One last time
Before I close my eyes, forever..
As the bullet enters
The wolf in me will die
My human side will fall
With nothing left in my eyes
When I dream
My spirit's freed
From a choke hold of belief
When I dream
I could only scream
Life was agony
As I dream
Only As I dream
Life was perfect
I died so perfect

Another intriguing write, full of colourful words and ideas.
I really enjoyed the following lines:
"They lust for holy hearts
Onward to death they march
A starving god upon the wolves"
(Especially the last line)
The whole piece had a warm nostalgic feel to it...seasonal and reminiscent of past lives, despite its melancholy undertone.
"With a kiss of a silver bullet"
It gave me joy to dwell in this concept.
Reminded me of "Underworld".
Both forms of creatures are equally appealing.
"For the bullet seals my fate
Autumn renders
With a sliver plated stake"
-Well expressed metaphoric language.
"Give the bullet a head start
Engrave your name in the silver
So you can run through my heart"
-Heartwrenchingly bitter-sweet.
And the last stanza...well! What can i say?
I am merely blown away!
Stunning!
