The dark
that opiated my heart
had strobes of
incandescent light
brilliantly illuminating
temporary comforts.
As floods of sonorous music explicitly
sluiced the capricious
and erratic flashes of light
Their eyes were besotted
somewhat haphazardly
But perhaps that is all there was
For I shall have to induce a stupor once again
to stifle
the effects of coming down.
