Blue again

Someone is waiting for a bitter war to end Hoping her life still has a few smiles in store All day she busies herself with mindless tasks Trying to forget about everything she always cried for
The sky has been grey for quite a while And the clouds bring scarring storms every day The future might create more silent deaths If no one decides to either leave or stay
Someone is waiting for another to return To revive her soul and find all there is to mend Instead she receives a letter full of pain Declaring that her life's love has reached his life's end
Outside some children play on the street Not minding the silent crystal drops of rain Inside someone's blood stains the bedroom carpet And suddenly the sky outside seems blue again

One person suffering a loss from any war would have been one too many. Thank you for sharing this. wrdz |
