This Storm

Abandoned pleasures lie at my door, Miseries left, asleep on the floor, Arms that will hold me, lay at my side, They welcome the swell of this moving tide, The seas roar beneath my feet, As my heart misses an intrepid beat, And the thunder above becomes more than enough, To melt my heart; now full of your love.
When this storm breaks, the sun shall alight, And free this world from a fearful night, The day shall begin, radiant, warm, And all but me, shall forget this storm.
