It is like air
all around you
invisible
unbeknownst to you
invading it's way
into your body
infecting you
from the inside
Keeping you alive
Letting you know
that everything around you is real
You suck it in
without realizing
where it comes from
or what it will do
Trusting it blindly
as the one and only truth
searching for a way
out of your body
to continue the effect
Causing the fire
to prolong it's burn
causing the earth to dry
and the plants to die
Causing the emotional drought
that we call life.
