Awaken in darkness, I search for the light
Looking for answers, but never seem to keep them in sight
I look in the mirror, and what do I see
The eyes of a stranger, who never can look straight back at me
The traits of a leader, embedded in tears
I feel so pressed, want to run away from here
..but its calling my name
3am, the pens writing down
all these thoughts and feelings
Theres no other sound
Except the taps of my tears
Hitting the page, confused and alone
Trapped inside a cage
Somewhere in the middle of wrong and right
Guilt keeps me awake
Resentment always keeps me in sight
and I cant run away
