My Muse

Contributed by Phill on Saturday, 27th July 2002 @ 04:42:01 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

You know I love your company
I enjoy your points of views
There is one thing that you dont realise yet
You have become my muse.

You drive me on to greatness
You fill me with desire
You are the very spark
That sets my heart and soul on fire.

Sometimes I feel quite guilty
Sometimes I need to cry
Because my very essence needs you
And you belong to another guy.

Somehow it doesnt matter
Im still doing what I can
With the scraps of your self, youve given me
Ive turned into a Renaissance man.

Like an artist Im filled with passion
My heart now screams out loud
One day I hope Ill do something
To make you feel quite proud.

Without knowing it, you have raised me
Above what I was meant to be
You have help to inspire
To find my destiny.

On 29th of October I met you
And although we never dated
On that day my life was destroyed
And a better one created

I feel the need to thank you
For spending time with me
For sitting and just chatting
You make my heart feel free

I know that I cant have you
And for me that is bad news
But there really is no reason
That you cant remain my muse.

To write is to feel and to have another person feel what you've writen is a feat in itself. Keep up with your passion and use your inspiration to further your destiny. Write me at my address if you would like to discuss poetry.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
