His heart was all a tender,
Dried and left unused,
Until there came a thunder,
And its fire swept on through,
Changed was the heart forever,
And the entire man as well,
A woman came into his life,
And her name was Anna Bell,
They laughed and sang and held hands too,
The entire town was jealous,
Even old man blue,
The citizens tried everything,
They spread their rumors and their lies,
But nothing could hurt their relationship,
Nothing could cover their eyes,
Then a man came through town,
He was a natural born seller,
When Anna Bell met him,
He used his charm to melt er,
She left without a word,
Only a simple note,
Love is just a flicker, she said,
At least you know I wrote.
