I strolled around the fair ground, saw a big black tent, opened up the flap and inside I went, sitting at a table was a fortune teller, I think it was a woman but could of been a fella,
She smiled at me and beckoned, gave a little laugh, I felt a bit unerved by her black moustache sit down my dear she said, pull up that little stool, then she ran her hands around her crystal ball,
Ah she said at last, your going to meet a man, you will fall for him, he drives a big white van,, Huh, is that all? she said... dont be disappointed, then waved a bony finger that looked double jointed.
Then she began to laugh, like a howling hound, held out a withered hand, said that is twenty pound, I was not impressed but it was worth a chance, I walked out that tent in a kind of trance,
as I crossed the road never saw the man, heading straight towards me in a big white van. she never told my fortune, in fact it was reverse, I think that that old hag, put on me a curse...
Take this as a warning, you dont want to know your fate, im sitting here in plaster for me it is to late.

We must have the same luck too. Just about sums up my fate and fortune. Always a good poem from you. You made me laugh. We must start up a lonely hearts club, we might have more luck. ha ha Sue x |
