Memories die

Contributed by lifefadingaway on Tuesday, 27th June 2006 @ 06:26:28 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

In a world forgotten
Haunted by your sorrow
Past memories follow
Your heart, so hollow

Emptiness is killing you
Doing whatever they want you to
Afraid to reach out for life
As you hope that memories die

Dreaming of your past
Why didn't it last?
14 years, you lived to much
Learned there's nobody to trust

Holding your guitar
Wondering who you are
Playing a little song
But it all sounds wrong

Will I ever see you again
If we meet will we still be friends
Will you ever get over your past
I know why friendships don't last

This is a sad poem of friendship lost, but also a hope of meeting again. Quite awe inspiring and well written. I enjoyed it very much.

To friendship. Sue x
