restless sleep

~an old poem that i wrote on april 14, 2005~

sleeping a restless sleep
only to wake up, and begin to weep
everything wrong seems to happen to me
maybe i should end this and swim in deaths black sea
and never have to worry about what happens
then i'll know exactly how my life ends
never have to see everything i hate
all i need to do is pull the trigger to decide my fate
or just try to live on with my life
and maybe some day i'll be someones beloved wife.
if i pull the trigger at this very second
and see deaths hand point and becon
i'll never know how something could have been
and i'll never know of the sights that i could have seen
i stand here holding the gun to my head
i come to my senses, and lay back in my bed.
i close my eyes and cry into a restless sleep
only to wake up again, and continue to weep.

wt~ Heart gripping and sad to the last. I love how you echoed
the first two lines at the end again. Makes it all the more powerful.
I hope this hardship is behind you now, my friend.

This was excruciatingly emotion-packed. Excellent post.
