For bread I have no hunger For wine my lips are dry For play I have no energy, I sit, and sit, and sigh.
You're feeding me with poetry, You're sustaining me with life, You're mocking me with eloquence, You're making light of strife. For bread I have no hunger. For wine my lips are dry. For play I have no energy, I sit, and sit, and sigh. While you question theories all day long, And with me contemplate, Why some men must love with passions deep, While some know only hate. For games I have no wit, And for love I am too late, The only thing I wish to do, Is sit with you and wait.

loved it! especially I liked the first two stanzas they just perfectly fit together. You're right you did roll all of those elements all in it.
Well done, keep up the good work!

I loved this very much. It flows along so well, and has a message to tell. A thoroughly enjoyable read. Sue x |
