Through Another Day

Contributed by bluestars on Wednesday, 28th June 2006 @ 01:28:32 AM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

I'm sitting here,
alone once more
trying to get through
another day.
I wake up once again
with my head
filled with dreams
of happy endings.
Another day has
passed me by,
wondering if you're
ever returning.
Another day
with no sun outside
just rain pouring down
the sides, and as the sun
moves in and the moon shines through,
I go back inside
to await for... another day.

I can identify with this poem. Have had these days over the last three years. But, I am always an eternal optimist, good things come to those that wait. Enjoyed the poem, it is written with feeling. Sue x

Hang tuff, my friend cause it will get better.
I've been alone for over six years and at times it's depressing but for the most part I'm happy.
luv, huggs, prayer,
emy

One law of this mortal life always gives me comfort. It's the law of averages. To reiterate Suzie's remark in cowboy, "keep yer chin up", girl, good comes to good folks with pure hearts and that's all I've seen in you. Nice write. So "go back inside to await for ... another day. The sun's gonna shine bright!
