The Color of Choice

in an inverted world,
the negative space between mountains
harbor the fish of the sky
beneath the shell that surrounds us
we swim in an orderly fashion
centrifugal and routine
aeons pass
and our circle of life evolves as it remains just that
an evolved circle
no different than the past
it is our dreams which parallel destiny
chasing our tails in search for a break in this rotation
in our desmantling attempts will we inevitably find
the infinity that lies adjacent to this illusion
can you see past this matrix of a curtain
and into the bottomless inkwell
or will you find yourself in circular patterns
asking questions
in hopes you'll find the answer?
language is but decoration
evoking an emotional response
beyond that
it is no different than paint on a canvas
a question asked is the answer
and the emotion we paint is a but a color of choice
