DAMNED

Contributed by jgb on Friday, 30th June 2006 @ 02:35:37 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

This is me!
Nothing else to say!
Fighting for my life
The words get in the way.

Time and time again
Around and around
In circles we go
Nothing can be found

I write for my life
For this is part of me
Still though it seems
To speak is not free

I yell and I scream
When need be
Yet, its not right!!!
Is that all you see?

How do I show
Who I really am?
When the only ones who see
Are convinced that I am damned!

Speak and be damned as the saying goes. Well we are all what we are for a reason, no other has the right to try and change that. Loved this poem, it has feeling and emotion. Sue x

A very "feeling" poem Joanna. I'm just turned 69 and in all those years it was so important to me that others knew who I was really was!
Then one bright sunshiny day, I said to myself, "What difference does it make what they think?"I know who I am........and they can be damned!
I've been so much happier ever since.
Try it dear Joanna, you'll like it I'm sure
Enjoyed your poem very much
Warm love
consue
