Bed Time
Blanky, bottle, bed and Bath Are all the things I need But dont forget my teddy bear, And the story that youll read The day was long, we sang and danced And ran around the yard And even though Im tired, Going to sleep is really hard.
But if you remember all those things That help me go to sleep Ill lay down with a smile, Thats a promise I can keep Ill dream some dreams, sleep all night, Call your name and then Youll get me up, change my clothes And well do it all again

Things like this will be appreciated by your child down the road. People are way too focused on material things these days. It is often the sentimental things like writing your daughter poems that make the most impact on childrens lives. I think that your idea of writing a book of poetry for your kids is a great one, and someday when I have kids I might do the same. |

In these days of modern technology, and frankly cruel world its a pleasure to read of the simple things in life. Thay are a joy, and have an innocence so fresh. This poem is beautiful and emphasises that old values and ways still count. Loved it . Sue x |
