FLAW

Contributed by Davinah on Tuesday, 11th July 2006 @ 12:38:05 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

You were the flaw in my fiendish master plan.
But I sold you down the river nevertheless.
You are out of your depth now.
Trying to fight fire with fire.

I suppose this unexpected turn of events
wont send you into raptures.
There is no room for rapprochement
once the bubble bursts.

And I wont budge on this deal.
You signed the dotted line.
And still you refuse to concede defeat
longing for one last moment of glory.

And you may cut a striking figure.
As you still think the world is at your feet.
But dont you believe it.
This is the beginning of the end

Sometimes victory can be sweet, can't it? Especially when you've been on the losing end for so damn long...Reading this; I get the sense you're discussing something of a highly personal nature, as I can feel the strong emotions in your words. I enjoyed this piece because of that...Keep it up!
