Worth the Wait (Mister Right)

Contributed by sunshine-faerie on Sunday, 9th February 2003 @ 08:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I've been waiting here so patiently
for you to show your face to me.
Been waiting all my life
for my own Mister Right.

Where are you, Mister Right?

I'm tired of this hiding game,
why don't you come out and say my name;
'Cause I don't know where to find you
Mister Right.

I'm saving my first kiss for you
and I know that you
will be everything I've dreamed of;
everything that I could need and more.

Snow White and Cinderella,
they both got the perfect fella.
But I am still waiting here
for my Prince Charming to appear;
my knight in shining armour,
Mister Right

I'm saving everything for you
'cause I know that you

You are worth the wait.

I'm sure so many of us have felt this same way. He will come maybe not today but he will come. Beautifully written.

THIS IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL POEM. HE WILL COME. MAYBE NOT IN SHINING ARMOUR, MAYBE BATTERED ARMOUR BUT HE WILL COME. JUST WHEN YOU QUIT LOOKING FOR HIM.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
