Neverceasing Till Doomsday

Contributed by Lucid_Tides on Wednesday, 12th July 2006 @ 11:12:08 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

In the distance, within the breeze
I'll watch my tranquility seize
Broken hopes in broken dreams
Shattered hearts and unveiling screams
I watch and worry as they start
To raid and tear my home apart
From the distance I feel the rage
A thousand bullets fly in fatal rampage

They won't take me alive
Their bullets pierce my flesh
and I still survive
They won't take me tonight
Knee high in blood
And still ready to fight

In the distance, within the dark
I still hear the angel's harp
They're weeping elegies to a bitter end
As we still pray for our godsend
Beyond the lights of eternal grace
Polemic warfare is taking place
Holy wars forever ascend
As paynim minds will perpetually end

They won't take me alive
Their words pierce my mind
But I still survive

Lucid~
Holy WoW! Your poem absolutely got to me my dear friend. I could see through the writers eyes and into the sad reality of the warfare that plagues our world today~ Holy wars will continue and they will spread from nation to nation. That's what I think anyways. A real thought provoking piece of poetry ascribed by the pen of the talented Lucid~ Keep up the great work my dear friend.
warm hugs,
sue m
