A Special Friend

Contributed by spring_40601 on Sunday, 9th February 2003 @ 11:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

The day i met you
I will never forget
I had found a friend
That wasn't a threat
Sometimes I sit and think of that day
I am sure God must have sent you my way
There you were with a heart of gold
You held out your hand for me to hold
I never knew i could feel this way
'Til I met you on that special day
I really didn't know what to say
All at once we begin to talk
Of the path of pain we both have had to walk
We spoke of words from the heart
At times a forbidden tear would start
I don't know how or why it all begin
I knew in my heart I loved you then
So no matter how far apart
You are on my mind and in my heart

Thanx for posting this. I can never find the words to tell someone how I feel unless I'm angry with them. You did a good job at it! Hope to see more from you.
