The candle that covered the moonlight

Contributed by girish on Tuesday, 18th July 2006 @ 02:24:10 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The king approached the saint for help
I have won many territories in a gulp
I have more wealth, many people serve me
But I do not have satisfaction, what you see?

The angry saint spoke, it will come, If I die
The king hearing felt sad for his magnanimity
He drew his sword for killing the saint directly
The I refers to your self the saint told angrily

People having ego want others to hear them
They feel happy only if others give esteem
Edging God Out is what EGO really means
Happiness or God goes out from us thus

Poet Tagore was once crossing a river
Writing poetry in candlelight seemed a quiver
Without the candle, moonlight gave thoughts
River, boat, moon gave imagination in lots

Just as the candle has hidden the moonlight
Ego as candle blocks our happiness in plight
When coconut breaks tender water comes out
Like this when ego breaks happiness will sprout
