Shelter Of The Soul

Contributed by The_Phantom on Wednesday, 19th July 2006 @ 05:49:47 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

A ghostly face, a cold and damp place,
Pain's reward, die by the sword,
The heart cries, as the soul flies,
Passion exploads as the night unfolds,

Confused and unsure, walking in the fog as memories converge,
Past to present, future to the past, still I hide behind a mask,
Unwilling to show my face, I close my eyes and go to my happy place,
In your arms I feel complete, in your arms I need not compete,

In your eyes I see paradise, in your eyes my heart survives,
A kiss as pure as the driven snow, a kiss to good to ever let go,
A touch like velvet so soft so smooth, a touch my fragile heart just can't refuse,
Wanting to let go, but worried my past may be too much for you to hold,

It remains locked up, until the day it erupts,
I will seek shelter within your soul, hold me close don't ever let go,
Like a new born you are my life support, your heart is my umbilical cord,
Your love is my food, your body is my spoon,

One day my face will be seen, ridding these demons from my dreams,
A warmth will take its spot where these demons once sought,
You made me whole, and for that I thank the Lord,
My love will never die, even after my mask is destroyed, and I've long sinced died.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom
