Upon great palaces and gilded halls, On golden staircases and beneath defensive walls, Through cemeteries bathed in the early morning light, Towns ravaged by the pillaging of night.
On brutal winds these wings have flown, Over cliffs and great standing stones, Earthly structures tall and wide, Silhouettes broken hearts and fragile minds.
Past silent hilltops in solid air, Marking hours, scattering fears, Creating a world of destruction and pain, Nothing will ever be the same again,

Very descriptive and deepened write. I can almost take in the "war" that's going on with this poem. It reminds me of that for some reason. Very interesting poem. Good job. Kimberly |
