When we were going out, you see
I made a book all about you and me
I made two copies so we wouldn't have to share
Whenever I held it, I used great care
A ticket stub here from our first date
A movie we later agreed on with mutual hate
Here are some photos of us taken together
Us in swim suits in the sunny weather
Contatined are all the notes you wrote me
And all the emails you will never again see
The printed lyrics to our song
Now when I hear it, it just sounds wrong
The book went from my shelf to under my bed
where our relationship lies dead
The pages imprinted with thoughts of us
As the book lies in darkness and dust
This book will be with me always
And for the rest of my days
It is something that is close to my heart
Also sad images of us falling apart
If I had one wish, it would truly be
That you would keep this book forever and never forget me
