The eyes of her baby

Contributed by summer on Thursday, 27th July 2006 @ 10:56:14 PM in AEST
Topic: war

leaflets drop from the sky
sheer panic
run
hide
no time to pack
the last family were five minutes too late they were killed fleeing to the north.
The israelis of course found this regrettable....

Regrettable also is the chemical warfare
hamad a seven year old child with phosphorous burns screaming for baba and mumma
(they are buried beneath the rubble)
Mind you its his fault an obvious supporter of hezballah
(even though his family were sunni muslims).

maybe its the fault of seventy year old saeed
he worked like a dog his whole life to save for his beautiful family home
which is now billowing smoke... (no insurance in Beirut)

No no it must be the fault of Nadine
the Hijab covered mother whose soft lullaby rocks her baby to sleep protecting her from the noise of the shelling
wishing for that golden ticket a british passport , any passport other than lebanese
looking at the innocent trusting eyes of her baby.

The American/Israeli and Iranian/Syrian playground of Lebanon, ( but we cant admit this because it is the fault of hezbollah who kidnapped two israeli soldiers lets forget the thousands of prisoners israel keeps and the fact israelis were caught spying in beirut just a few months ago)
Yes Yes of course its a war against terror.

This will most certainly put a stop to Terrorism

Ya nasrallah ya habib yalla adroob tel aviv " crowd chants on egyptian tv " Nasrallah my love hurry up and hit Tel Aviv"

Chants of "Finish America" in syria

Al qaieda now are planning a war against the west in retaliation

And we , me and you tut and sigh at the news of innocent civilians on both sides dieing , suffering , burning to death
But what have we done except comment or sigh?

Yes we must sit back and relax trust in our goverments as we elected them after all.

Very sad but well written.
There's no way I can comprehend what you are going thru. Just hold on tight to that baby.
I'll keep you in my prayers.
May God deliver you from all this is a very good way.
luv, huggs, prayers,
emy

It was good, but it didn't read like a poem to me at all. Could have been the general pacing of it, who knows.

However, it had a very strong subject and in the sense of topic was written very well!
