The Internet is out again so a poem I will write. I hope it isnt out for long or Ill be writing through the night.
I cant imagine what Ill do without my ISP, and no pop ups, spam or junkmail left to bother me.
The games I play will have to wait, and the email I would send, the one where that chimpanzee scratches his rear end.
My messenger sits idle no contacts can I see, I wonder if theyd like to talk on the telephone with me.
Without the Weather Network how will I ever know, what climate will await me if outside I do go.
Banking onlines not an option, no connection keeps it hidden. And of course no Gee Dee EBay means for me therell be no biddin.
Should I push away from my desk, go outside and call some friends Or go upstairs and see my wife, and with my daughter play pretend.
I think the answers simple, and now I realize That family, friends and life itself Really is the prize.

My internet has gone out several times, and each time brought on a new level of stress I didn't know I had. I really loved your ending! Very nice flow, and it brought a smile to my face. |

It was witty, and very clever. Although sometimes I felt by constricting yourself to a sylabol limit, some of the lines were a little weird to read, yet still suprisingly poetic. I normally keep to a strict sylabol limit to my own poetry, and I know how hard it is to sacrifice coherence, but sometimes you have to in order for the poem to flow. I might have just barked up the wrong tree, you could have written it subconsciously, which is a laudable effort in its own. Overall I liked it, and your style is an interesting thought.

I should know enough to turn my computer off more often than I do, really. It's sad that we feel so incomplete without it. Sure, it's entertaining.... but heavens, yes! LIFE should be more so (and -to your point - IS.... we need only but give it the attention it deserves to realize as much).
