While faeries dance
and elf maids sing
and angels fly
on golden wing
while nymphs swim
and dryads grow
and wizards read
so they can finally know
how the stars came about
and why the waves crash in
but most of all
how to make rum and gin
while the stars are lit
and the moon is hung
and imps race around
having lots of fun
then you, my child
shall lay down your head
and dream of these things
that you have just read
and you shall know
in your heart of heart
that these things and myths
are seperate and apart
reality is what
are minds choose it to be
it really doesn't matter
what are eyes doth see
if you think a thing
and believe it to be true
the only thing stopping you
is you

My favorite subject, DREAMS! I loved it and the whole idea behind it. Like always you have a good word choice, and it is cleverly done. I like the whole "how the stars came about
and why the waves crash in
but most of all
how to make rum and gin" It made me laugh a lot^_^.
Anyways one thing though was I think you missed used a homonym. are minds choose it to be our minds choose it to be
although I could be wrong on that, homonym's are never my strong "soot"^_^ |

a little bit of nostalgia is always welcome in my view. you've rolled back centuries with this one. an excellent poem about the power of dreams and imagination. the last stanza is fantastic.
