I remember when I was happy
It seems like so long ago
I didn't really think about life
I know ignorance is bliss
But slowly I learned
I saw people
I saw everything was the same
I learned about the real world
Then I thought about it
I never had before
And it dawned on me
Life isn't nice or fair
It's shallow and cold
It didn't accept difference
People feared and hated difference
So I fell away
I couldn't be like that
I would express myself
I became different.
I became the hated.
