A Guided Tour

Contributed by lillyjane on Wednesday, 2nd August 2006 @ 04:45:08 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Welcome to my mind, please just step inside,
have a look around, ive nothing here to hide,
the voices you can hear, are words I cannot say,
they live inside my heart, and break it evey day

please dont try to delve to deep inside my brain,
that is where I keep all my locked up pain,
if you look real close, your see all my fears,
can you see my smile, its hiding all my tears,

Can you hear the laughter of happiness ive had,
I listen to it often, to stop me feeling sad,
now youve been in my mind, I hope that you will choose,
never try and judge me, till youve walked in my shoes.

LillyJane~
How true your words are my dear friend. One should never ever judge a person 'til they walk in their shoes. We are very quick to judge others, but what if the shoe was on the other foot? A very well penned poem dearest LJ~ Thanks for posting it.
love, hugs n prayers,
sue m

Gained a few insights and understandings on this beautifully written "guided tour" and one big parameter should be common to us all. Fine work, lilly.

If I could see inside your mind,
I know what I would surely find,
A beauty that is hidden deep,.
A golden heart that is asleep.

This poem is an old one , but I know you have a hidden beauty , and a heart as pure as gold. I would never judge you, for my feet have lived in shoes like yours. Sue x

I really love this poem, from the title, to every word.

Yes, it would be kinda nice if we could invite certain poeple into our minds so that they could understand us better. Kind of a scary thought too though.

You have taken a nice perspective in this poem and it also reminded me of scene in the movie Dreamcatcher where there guy is running around in his own mind trying to burn files of his thoughts.

Yep, definitely an awesome poem. You did great!

Take care,

Tim

A beautiful poem and I feel like I know you more after the guided tour. I wish the tears would all dry up and for you to hold the sunshine in your deserving loving mind.
